Vision To inspire diverse people about opportunities and experiences in agriculture, food, and life sciences through goal assessment, community service, leadership and career development; ultimately, students will be empowered to excel academically and professionally in a family environment that is accepting of everyone which fosters life-long friendships. The agriculture industry today is much different than it was 20 or 30 years ago. Unfortunately, agriculture is still visualized as only farming or ranching, or linked to only production agriculture. Historically, the agriculture industry has faced obstacles in recruiting and retaining candidates, and this obstacle has resulted in many agricultural-related companies struggling to find highly trained agriculture, food and life sciences scientists and professionals from under-represented ethnic groups. To fill this void, the AgForLife Student Association at Texas A&M University was born. Opportunities for student enrichment include:
